The Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business presents the Illinois Family Business of the Year Awards every year. The awards program, in its 21st year, recognizes family businesses in Illinois that demonstrate the following qualities:

Garvey’s Office Products is Awarded Medium Family Business of the Year
This years winners have been announced and the uniform services company is proud to say that the awardee for Medium Family Business of the Year is a valued customer of Roscoe and we are of theirs. Garvey’s Office Products was founded in 1926 and in their 88 years as a family business have grown to become the largest independently owned office supply distributor in Illinois. Like the Chicago uniform company they are dedicated to customer service by offering competitive pricing in their industry, but with exceptional service that fits the needs of the customer. Backed by six second-generation siblings who have been in the family business together for 22 years, the loyalty and “family” spirit extends throughout their company with many team members having been with the company for over 10 years. Garvey’s is Dedicated to Sustainable Business Practices with “Recycle For a Reason” Program
The Chicago mat company wants to point out a wonderful program Garvey’s Office Products has in place called “Recycle for a Reason” that raises money for local charities through the recycling of toner and electronics. Individual rebates on recycled cartridges and electronics is not much, but accumulated over a quarter can produce a staggering amount. In the first quarter the “nice guys” raised $7,305.98 for Bernie’s Book Bank and in the second quarter $6,709.68 for Center on 3656 N. Halsted.
