A couple of weeks ago, we announced a series of articles that describe the most common industry issues and how we Take Pride in addressing those issues. It featured how the Chicago uniform company handles shortages, today we are jumping back in to discuss repairs. Companies with a uniform rental program know what a pain repairs can be – what procedures are in place and at what cost, how long will it take, and will it disrupt my employees work are all factors to consider. For businesses considering a uniform rental program, make sure you understand the laundry’s repair process before making a decision.
It comes as no surprise that garments go through constant wear and tear, elevated in certain industries, which is why Roscoe repairs garments at no charge. The frequency of repairs in the manufacturing, automotive and construction industries can be very high, which is why the uniform rental company understands that would be costly when it is part of the job. We’re not your mom, so go ahead, play rough.
We here at the Chicago uniform rental company have over five garment inspection points to ensure we catch all necessary repairs. And we do catch 98% of repairs internally, but who’s counting.
Of course we’re not perfect so, the uniform rental company has a communication process to let our team know when one of your garments is in need of a repair. Through the Yellow Bag Program, the wearer is able is easily identify the problem area (right on the bag), place the garment in the bag and drop it in the soil locker. These yellow bags are part of the initial installation, easy to use and allows us to identify the garments in need of attention.
As an additional security measure, the Route Service Representatives place a safety pin on the garment, below the bar code, to notify our team members at the plant if in need of repair. The garments that have been placed in a yellow bag are scanned in as needing attention, and a team member will be alerted if by scan out the issue has not been fixed.
The Chicago uniform company then attaches a two part slip to the garment notifying the wearer and the contact person of the repair completed. Furthermore, Roscoe supplies customers with a report card, or a recap, of the different things done on your account, including repairs. We want you to always be in the know. If you happen to forget how a certain process works, we provide communication pieces quarterly, or you can ask your Customer Service or Route Service Representative for more information regarding your uniform rental program.
We want to hear from you. “Hey Jim Buik” cards are available in which you can leave comments and mail back on a pre-paid card directly to the President. Let the uniform rental company know if the Yellow Bag Program is working properly or if you’d like to see some changes. Your satisfaction is a priority to us.
Take Pride in your image!
