The Roscoe Company hosts a picnic every year to recognize the dedication of our Team Members and to have a good time. This year’s picnic helped us celebrate our 96th year in business.
Fun in the Sun
The food was “amazing,” the games were “so fun” and the camaraderie was wonderful as approximately 50 Roscoe Company employees and their family members gathered for the company’s annual family picnic at National Grove South on Saturday, August 26.
The event was a celebration of family and co-workers and included a full schedule of games and activities. Children tossed water balloons, played Simon Says, red light-green light, and hot potato. A clown provided face painting and balloon sculptures for the kids. And everyone dined on a feast that included chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, tamales, flautas and a wide assortment of desserts.
Raffle winners went home with gift cards, bicycles, headphones, sweatshirts, Cubs tickets and even a big screen TV.
There were children of all ages, some of whom cited “desserts” and “balloons” as the day’s highlights.
We Are Family
But the real theme, more than one Roscoe team member commented, was “family.” The event, one employee said, makes coworkers feel like part of each other’s families.
“I just love how it’s one big family – how interconnected everybody was,” she said.
Our picnic is always successful because of partnerships with vendors that help support our event with donations of gift cards and other contributions.
